Hi there! I’m Sarah and I’m so glad you found your way to this page so we can really get to know each other! I’m a part-time travel blogger and content creator.

I started this travel blog because I wanted something to look back on when I’m 80 and I’ve forgotten all the fun things I’ve done in life. But because of it, I’ve met some of my best friends, visited places I would have never thought of, and found my love for writing and photography.

  • My 4 favorite activities in Madrid ⬇️ I’m guilty of being a checkbox traveler sometimes where I have a list of things I want to do and see, and I get to check them off with each tour, museum, and park I visit. This is really satisfying to my Type A brain, but I also try to incorporate some activities into my days that are just there for me to ENJOY my time in a new place.   • Requirements for Spain’s Digital Nomad Visa ⬇️ Here are the basic requirements to apply for the Spain DNV as a US American: ✅ The company you work for needs to operate outside of Spain ✅ Undergrad or postgrad degree OR 3 years of experience ✅ No criminal record for 5 years ✅ Health insurance that will cover you in Spain ✅ Make at least $2,300 monthly This is just the start. There are 15 different documents you need to gather to apply and different processes to apply based on where you live. Unfortunately, this information is NOT easy to find online. It took me hours of combing through the Spanish government website, IRS documents, and more to find it all. It’s one of my biggest frustrations with these visas. There are a ton of blogs and legal service websites that talk about this, but almost none of them point you in the right direction to read the official webpages yourself… UNTIL NOW! I wrote a blog post summarizing all of this with more details on the requirements, all the documents you’ll need, and the step-by-step process for how to apply.   • 5 FREE things to do in Edinburgh (part 3) ⬇️ 1️⃣ Walk the Royal Mile (High Street) This street is lined with all kinds of shops selling books, clothing, wool, cashmere, and pretty much anything you can think of. There is also a local market on the corner of High Street and South Bridge with art and photography stands. This street is gorgeous and you can also often hear bagpipers as you walk down it! 2️⃣ St. Giles Cathedral While you’re on High Street, pop into St. Giles Cathedral to have a look around at the stained glass. It’s free to enter (with an optional donation), and will only take about 10-20 mins. 3️⃣ Greyfriar’s Bobby’s Walking Tour A free Edinburgh walking tour hosted by a man and his dog who is said to be a descendant of the infamous Greyfriar’s Bobby! 4️⃣ Royal Botanical Garden Visit the magnificent gardens full of flowers and greenery if you need a break from the city. 5️⃣ Hike up Calton Hill This is much shorter and easier than hiking Arthur’s Seat! This hike will give you sprawling views of Edinburgh from the top.   • 5 of my favorite things to do in PARIS ⬇️ There are no museums or monuments on this list. It’s not a list to check off, but one to enjoy! Here are the things I LOVE to do in Paris nearly every time I visit: 1️⃣ SHOP AT THE PARIS FLEA MARKET The Paris Flea Market is quite massive and you’ll find so many different things here including clothing, books, antiques, furniture, and more. The markets are mostly open only Saturday-Monday and for some reason, Uber ALWAYS drops me off in the wrong spot. If you see a bunch of stands with (likely) counterfeit items, this is not the right area 😂 Make sure you’re north of blvd périphérique and west of av michelet. 2️⃣ HAVE A PICNIC In another reel, I mentioned having a picnic by the Eiffel Tower. Apparently there are rats here at night (I never saw any during the day) and this park may be closed for the Olympics. BUT you can picnic on the Seine River or at Luxembourg Gardens if it’s nice out! 3️⃣ READING OR PEOPLE WATCHING AT A CAFE This is a must for me almost every morning. If I’m with people, we’ll go to a cafe for breakfast and just enjoy the morning slowly. If I’m by myself, I’ll bring my book. I could sit in a cafe and read for HOURS. Easily one of my favorite activities here! 4️⃣ CHECK OUT LOCAL ART WORK AND SHOPS When the weather is nice, there are usually artists painting in the main square of Montmartre. I love to walk around, watch them work, and buy pieces I like. I also really like to walk along the Seine River to see the Bouquinistes (booksellers of Paris) or the shops that fold down into the infamous green boxes along the river. You’ll find books, posters, and other souvenirs here. 5️⃣ HAVE A FLOWER PHOTOSHOOT If this sounds cheesy to you, stay with me. There are a ton of flower shops in Paris and I would always pass them and think “ugh if I lived here, I’d buy flowers from here all the time” and then we just decided to do it! We made a bouquet of hydrangeas and then did a dramatic photoshoot near our hotel and on the balcony.   • I’ve been toying with the idea of a month-long remote work trip, but when it comes to WHERE that would be, I’m flooded with ideas. Europe makes the most sense, logistically, because I’m most familiar with it and the time change is convenient. Buuut should I just risk it all and go to South America for the first time for a month?? Here are the top ones on my list right now: 🇮🇹 Lucca, Italy 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Edinburgh and Highlands, Scotland 🇪🇸 Madrid, Spain 🇦🇷 Buenos Aires, Argentina 🇬🇷 Greek Islands And it got me curious - if YOU could live anywhere for a month, where would it be?
